Overview

Join Atlassian as an intern and spend your summer having an impact on how millions of users see and work with the Atlassian brand. As a Brand Intern, you'll work with the brand team to build our brand strategy and implement it across the organization. You'll learn how to grow the value of a global enterprise brand as a foundational member of a team that will scale dramatically in the next 3-5 years.

The Brand team sits at the center of a vibrant ecosystem of Product, Comms, Creative, Thought Leadership, Editorial, Product Marketing, and Sales. In collaboration with the above teams, we define, describe, and translate everything our products help existing and potential customers achieve. We tell stories that help ensure the Atlassian brand is experienced in a compelling way.

Responsibilities

You'll work alongside 3 of our brand teams over the course of your internship:

Brand Strategy Team

  • Work closely with Product Teams to understand how user experiences can build equity for the Atlassian brand

  • Develop names for Atlassian's products, features, and solutions

  • Explore avenues to measure Atlassian's brand performance on key metrics

  • Work alongside other brand teams to ensure the strategy is executed across marketing and advertising

Brand Marketing Team

  • Contribute to team brainstorming for brand marketing campaigns

  • Streamline key marketing messages and SEO keywords in partnership with Communications, Product Marketing and SEO

  • Creatively and consistently communicate brand updates with our 10,000 staff members around the world

  • Monitor social & brand platforms for cultural, influencer, business and brand trends.

  • Report on social media campaign performance and make timely recommendations for optimization.

Brand Advertising Team

  • Assist in the development of top of funnel campaigns for multiple market leading brands (Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, Trello)

  • Close strategic partnership with creative team to develop world class campaign content

  • Assist with strategic creative reviews & optimization

  • Drive the development campaigns that raise awareness for Atlassian as both a great place to work and an expert in teamwork.

Qualifications

Your Background

  • Familiar with Brand, Business Strategy, Advertising, Campaign(s), Social Media, Paid Media, Paid Social, Or Organic Social

  • Be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program (Marketing, Business, Design) and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by June 2026

  • Be able to commit to a full-time (40hrs / week) - 12-week internship in the Summer 2025

Compensation

At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $35 - $40

Zone B: $32 - $36

Zone C: $29 - $33

Within each range, base pay is determined based your skills and experience. Please see here for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.
